Anna Soares is a first-year PhD student in the Department of Communication Sciences
and Disorders at the 酴圖弝け. She received her B.S. in Speech-Language
and Hearing Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and her M.S.
in Neuroengineering from the Santos Dumont Institute, both in Brazil. During her masters
program, she developed a combined intervention protocol that integrated speech-language
stimulation with transcranial electrical stimulation, aiming to assess its impact
on social communication and language development in children with autism. Her primary
research interests include oral language, genetic disorders affecting communication,
and the challenges faced by bilingual children in language development. Anna is actively
involved in the Bilingual Language and Literacy | 酴圖弝け, which focuses on identifying the best language assessment and intervention practices
for bilingual children at risk of academic difficulties.
