Jennifer Francisco, Educational Interpreter Project coordinator in the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences, has been honored with the 2025 Distinguished Service Award from the Florida Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (FRID).
The award, presented annually to an active FRID member, recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the interpreting profession, the Deaf community, the field of Deafness, and the FRID organization itself. Francisco was announced as the 2025 recipient during FRID’s recent board meeting.
"Jennifer works tirelessly to support educational interpreters throughout Florida. I’m so happy her hard work is being recognized," said Jean Krause, PhD, OTC, CICS, associate professor and Audiology program director in the Department of Communications Sciences and Disorders.
