Marilyn Stern elected fellow of the Society of Behavioral Medicine

Marilyn Stern, PhD, CRC, a professor in the Department of Child and Family Studies, was selected as a fellow of the Society of Behavioral Medicine (SBM). 

Stern was elected in recognition of her significant contributions to advancing the science and practice of behavioral medicine. Fellowship in SBM is a distinction conferred on members who have demonstrated excellence in one or more areas of behavioral health and positive influence on the field of behavioral medicine.  

She will be formally recognized at the Society of Behavioral Medicine Annual Meeting and Scientific Sessions, scheduled for April 22–25 in Chicago. 

The is a multidisciplinary organization that brings together researchers, clinicians, educators, policymakers and industry leaders to advance the science of behavioral medicine and well-being. Through advocacy, training, professional events and scholarly publications, SBM works to strengthen health care by applying behavioral science to improve patient care, inform policy and enhance health outcomes.
