2025 Honorees
Anastasiya Bulhakova
Business Analytics and Information Systems

When the war in Ukraine began in 2022, Anastasiya Bulhakova was in her final year
of high school. The instability forced her to move between Poland and Ukraine, often
studying and taking admissions tests under air raid sirens and power outages.

But the constant state of uncertainty only fortified her resolve. Even in the midst
of war, she was helping others.

She was a translator for English-speaking medics and American volunteers aiding displaced
               refugees.

At USF, her language skills came in handy again. In 2023, she helped translate over
400 military training slides from English into Ukrainian. Her proactive approach and
commitment to international affairs led to an internship in intelligence and security
               analysis.

As a business analytics and information systems major with a 4.0 GPA, Bulhakova also
makes time to help her peers. She is a Knack tutor in financial accounting, managerial
               accounting, and business statistics.

She took on leadership roles in student clubs. She was vice president of investment
banking for the Private Equity and Venture Capital Club at USF. She also is an investment
               associate in the Investment Club.

This summer she heads to New York to work as an investment banking intern with D.
               A. Davidson. In 2024, she was a business analyst intern for the utilities and energy
               company, Consolidated Edison.

As an award-winning rhythmic gymnast with over 200 medals to her name, she embodies
resilience and discipline like no other. In fact, she applies those lessons in her
               academic and professional life.
