The following workshops are your opportunity to build your skills while engaging directly with a Digital Learning expert and your peers. If you missed a session, you can email us to schedule a consultation and/or reach us via our Live Support. We can also facilitate customized workshops for your department or college. Canvas Fundamentals
In this session, we provide you with the most critical Canvas features in preparation for the semester launch. We will cover uploading your syllabus, menu setup, connecting Teams, assignment setup, gradebook and more. Attendees are encouraged to follow along and set up their course as we work through the steps.

By now, you have probably heard of generative AI (GenAI). Platforms like Microsoft
Co-Pilot, ChatGPT, and Gemini are revolutionizing productivity. In this session, you
will learn how to fully leverage this technology to enhance your course(s) and optimize
efficiencies. We will discuss and practice effective prompt engineering, explore GenAI
use cases for course enhancement, see how your peer faculty are utilizing GenAI for
their courses, and ultimately construct your own GenAI Course Enhancement Plan.

This includes connecting ("synch") your Canvas course to Teams, setting up a Teams meeting, recording, and general best practices when using Teams. We will also cover some of the most important upcoming updates related to Teams Class, Teams Meetings, and the setup of each.

We want to show you how to responsibly and effectively integrate generative AI tools into your teaching practices, supported by USF's guidelines and resources. We'll then explore various applications of AI in teaching and learning, such as creating content, including AI-generated media. You'll also learn best practices and "gotchas" to watch for when working with these powerful tools.
